Competech is the IT support company for Comprehensive Travel Insurance Ld (CTI). CTI provide travel insurance through travel agencies and on line at http://www.comprehensive.co.nz/. Competech have been responsible for the backend processing software for CTI over the last 15 years and have been instrumental in the move to on-line travel insurance, leading the trend to direct-availability insurance in New Zealand. Competech have provided the hosting of the on-line system and full system hardware and software support.
The recent buy-out of CTI by VERO has seen a change in the CTI IT direction. This will include the moving and amalgamation of the backend policy and claim processing into Vero's industry standard legacy application with hosting in Australia. This move will necessitate software development of links between the on-line web application and the legacy application and the inclusion of previous backend reporting into the web application.
These changes will involve personnel from five different organisations to work together and coordinate changes. To facilitate the coordination of these changes Bob Davie, the director of Competech, has implemented EziExpert. Bob will be able to load each of the organisations and their relevant personnel into EziExpert as both users and as recipients of tasks. Due to the web-based nature of EziExpert, each of these users across Australia and New Zealand, will be able to access their tasks and review progress. Bob will be able to track the status of various tasks as the project progresses, getting email updates as the status of tasks is changed by any of the users.
